Beechen Cliff School

Proudly working in partnership

Bath Theatre School is proud to be working in partnership with Beechen Cliff School to share our expertise to provide a musical theatre group which can support the development of a range of performing and key life skills, whilst also building confidence … and not to mention a huge amount of fun along the way! No previous experience is required so if you are remotely interested in taking to the stage with drama, singing or movement then why not come along for a taster by completing the form below or just turn up on the day.

When things return to normal …

When lessons permit the mixing of year groups, we will move onto working towards a professionally staged musical at a theatre in Bath with public performances and will be a highlight in the school’s calendar – previous productions have enjoyed total audiences of 1000! This requires a high level of commitment so it is vital that attendance is excellent and includes the need to attend rehearsals during the Easter holiday. If you decide to join you will be given access to the online learning portal which will include the annual timetable and a range of material to allow students to practice at home.

When: The group runs every term time Friday straight after school and runs for 2hrs. Lessons will be extended slightly as we near the production and due to the timing of the production, students may be required to rehearse over the Easter break. A full schedule will be issued shortly to any students that join.

Where: Recital Room in the Music Centre.

Who can come along: The theatre group is open to the whole of the Beechen Cliff Lower School (years 7-11). If you are interested in coming along then you just need to turn up on the day.

What to expect: Initially we will be working on a range of stage skills in the areas of drama, singing and movement. We will then be working towards a professionally staged production.
